A standout of our offerings is a treasured tradition unique to ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÕ¾: our beloved Teddy Bear-Making Program. Students at ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÕ¾ have been making bears for donation since 1987. Thousands of teddies have been sent all over Australia and around the world to help those in need, including young children involved in vehicle accidents, families devastated by natural disasters and children airlifted by the Royal Flying Doctor Service. It is a truly beautiful co-curricular activity that upholds ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøվ’s commitment to serving others.
ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÕ¾ also has the distinction of being among a select few schools in Australia with a dedicated Scout Group. Our program includes ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÕ¾ Joeys (5 - 8 years old), ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÕ¾ Cubs (8 - 11 years old), ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÕ¾ Scouts (11 - 14 years old) and ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÕ¾ Venturers (14 - 18 years old).
In addition, ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÕ¾ is one of Australia’s largest school facilitators of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, with up to 700 participants at any one time guided by a dedicated staff leader.
A recent addition to our co-curricular landscape is our Community Languages Program, allowing many students to learn their heritage language at school. Currently, we offer Mandarin Chinese, French, Hindi, Italian and Polish in Junior School and we are working to expand our options. Further to this, Latin is a co-curricular elective in Years 5 to 9.
